We aim to supply all our trees from British grown stock:
1. They are grown in 10 hectares of tree plantations which is part of a 40 hectare conservation area.
2. Non-monoculture with trees grown in small species blocks to optimise natural biological pest control.
3. For 40 years of production
• No pesticides
• No fungicides ever used
• No residual sprays ever used
4. Weed control is 96% by mechanical cultivation. Only 4% by glyphosate around the base of each tree whilst being grown to a top quality commercial standard.
5. Award winning reserve in 1988 for the balance of management of wildlife and game. Later the subject of a book in 1993, republished in 2005.
6. Reserve is also a venue for education, running courses on the management of game, wildlife, fisheries and trees.
